My year of professional, full-time volunteerism has come to an end! I cannot explain how much I've enjoyed working at FIRST 5 Mendocino. I have learned so much, met so many wonderfully, kind people, and really feel like I've contributed something positive to the community. My year in California has been nothing short of amazing. I've experienced so many things! This year I:
-ran my first 5k
-got a bad-ass tattoo
-went on my first backpacking adventure
-hugged a couple of Redwoods
-saw a couple of migrating whales
-brought in about $200,000 in grant money
Besides all those things, I've made some pretty fantastic friends!
I have loved living in California and all the fun it brought! I don't feel like I'm quite done here...
